2022 Theme: HyperLocal

The 2022 independent TEDx event in Provincetown, MA will be held at the Provincetown Marina on June 17 at 7:00 pm. This year’s theme is HyperLocal, and the event is produced by Narrow Land, LLC.

TED is an annual event that brings together the world's leading thinkers and doers to share ideas that matter in any discipline — technology, entertainment, design, science, humanities, business and development. The talks at the conference, called TED Talks, are then made available to watch for free on TED.com.

In the spirit of "ideas worth spreading," TED has created TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

At a TEDx event, live speakers and video/slides combine to spark deep discussion and connections. For 3 years, TEDxProvincetown has come together to showcase our enormous regional talent and share their ideas with the world. The past two TEDxProvincetown events were sold out and produced 18 amazing talks consisting of passionate individuals who shared new concepts and their latest research in the Provincetown community.

The global pandemic and civil unrest are among the factors that have led to a wider awareness of the fragility of supply chains and other systems critical to civilization as we currently know it. As globalization and some of the challenges that come with it accelerates, how can we look inward to our own communities for unique, exciting solutions?

TEDxProvincetown: HyperLocal seeks to highlight innovation in local food systems, energy solutions, waste management, government, non-profits, education, art, film, and more!
